Powered Clockwork Limb clarification

In the past, there have been clarifies saying if you’re getting a part implanted, you can just get it implanted and calibrate to it after, but for a part with a clear mechanical effect, I wanted to be sure how to play it. How does that work for a powered clockwork limb?
Can you:
1: get it implanted, but not pay the electricity or use it until after it’s calibrated
2: get it implanted, use it as a standard clockwork limb with no abilities until you calibrate at which point it works properly
3: as 2, but it starts non functional until you pay the electricity, but it still doesn’t have the no-maims benefit
4: use per normal, calibrate after game.
