(Lily posts this to the town message board and buys a coffee from Seren. She sits down at the bar with the obvious intention to hunker down and await commentary.)
It has come to my attention that the Militia Charter is due to be reworked in Autumn, and I feel that it is my duty to take this bullet on behalf of my women and advocate for reforms with the town council as their representative. And in order to do that, I need to gather up the fighters of Port Katherine and discuss what, exactly, they would like me to advocate for. So, I propose that we have a Fighter’s Picnic during the Socialite Tea hour this Summer to discuss. This would be for all soldier and fighting type folks who are not actively in the Navy.
I have picked the time on the assumption that there is little overlap between the militia and the socialites, that the socialite tea is usually held during a quiet period of the day (3 bells on the Solstice to be exact), and that most soldiers harbor a secret wish to catch a noble’s eye and retire comfortably to married life and most socialites enjoy watching folks with well-toned muscles lounging on the grass.
Please let me know your thoughts on the matter, and if you are willing to bring blankets or little cakes (your militia captain has a weakness for little cakes).
